A repeating two-tier pattern of rainbow arches, each framing a stylized palm frond, with sun discs and scallop motifs. Minimal retro deco pattern.

The Story

Lucerne Ave at walking speed keeps a rhythm: arch, frond, arch, frond, down the old Spanish-style blocks. The best weeks in Lake Worth Beach keep the same time - ride, swim, sunset, repeat - each pass framed slightly differently by the light. The pattern takes the street's own rhythm as its repeat unit.

The Making

Pattern tiled in Illustrator as a two-tier repeat - rainbow arches framing palm fronds, sun discs and scallops placed on the grid.
Seams checked tile to tile; palette balanced in Photoshop.
Print-prepped at 300 dpi with the repeat unit verified at full scale.
