Palm, Clipped Path

Clipped to perfection.

A dark green palm silhouette against a salmon-pink sky and orange sun, over a cream stucco building with arched doorways. Distressed flat poster.

The Story

Cream stucco, arched doorways, salmon sky, a palm in silhouette: the Palm Beach County palette assembled by the street. Against that sky, the tree becomes a placed shape, not vegetation. The sky does the color grading here; the composition only documents it.

The Making

Scene flattened in Illustrator - the palm isolated on a precise clipping path over the salmon sky field, the building reduced to three flat shapes.
Finished in Photoshop with a distressed, sun-faded flat-poster surface.
Print-prepped at 2400 × 3000 px, 300 dpi.
