The Story

A queen conch's spiral is a logarithmic curve, grown, not drawn, and holds at any size. After storms, large shells come ashore at Bryant Park, turned out of the surf. The woodcut gives it the full frame, wave forms repeating its curves at lower contrast.

The Making

Interlocking curves built in Illustrator under strict line-weight discipline - three weights, used consistently across shell and waves.
Foam and wave work finished in Photoshop with bold flat color and woodcut texture.
Print-prepped at 2400 × 3000 px, 300 dpi, sRGB.
