The Story

After days of rain, the Lake Worth Lagoon mangrove fringe holds water under prop roots, mushrooms rising through leaf litter. At the Snook Islands, roots stand in the shallows, wet ground behind, sailboats moving through the channel beyond. The scene is the town at water level.

The Making

Poster built in Illustrator on a five-column modular grid - mushroom, root, and sailboat forms drawn as closed vector shapes in a flat palette of six colors.
Lettering drawn as outlines, tracked wide, set on the grid baseline.
Grain added in Photoshop as a single overlay pass at reduced opacity.
Exported at 2400 × 3000 px, 300 dpi, sRGB.
